Taveuni is known for its beautiful waterfalls.  A two hour drive to the backside of the island takes you Tavoro/Bouma waterfalls, a national park, which is Taveuni's most treasured adventure. The first of three waterfalls is the grandest, an is an easy 10 minute walk for guests of all hiking skill levels.  Take a swim in the pool below the falls, or even jump from a perch behind the waterfall.  If your feeling adventurous, continue on to the second (45 minutes) or even third waterfall (1.5 hours) , and experience the changes in rainforest along the way as you go from hot humid coastal coconut plantations to cool verdant rainforest.  Be sure to look for the striking purple land crabs that cross the trail from time to time.  This hike is steep and slippery in some parts by the trail is well maintained, with a moderate difficulty.
