Scuba Diving

Taveuni Island is one of the most sought after scuba spots in the world - nicknamed "the soft coral capital of the world" by one of diving's most prominent figures Jacques Cousteau, the man who revolutionized underwater exploration. The vibrant reefs scattered along the coast explode with color and life, and are accessible to both new and experienced divers. There's a spot on the Rainbow Reef for everyone - whether it's the famous tunnel into the Great White Wall, the mellow shallows at Cabbage Patch (accessible to divers and snorkelers alike), the action of Fish Factory, or the world famous drift dive over Rainbow's End, your sure to leave amazed while exploring the stunning Taveuni waters.

Lavena Coastal Walk + Wainibau Falls

LAVENA COASTAL WALK

On the southeastern side of the island the Lavena Coastal Walk is a rugged, but mellow hike that takes you along the gorgeous winding coast and into the heart of the jungle. Along the way you will run into picturesque villages and beautiful beaches with amazing rock formations. The 10km loop follows the coast before venturing inland and landing you at the secluded Wainibau Waterfall. The dual waterfall is stunning and cascades into a natural pool surrounded by lush, green foliage, perfect for swimming and cooling off.

Tavoro Falls

The Tavoro Falls are a trio of cascades surrounded by lush jungle. The first waterfall is easily accessible with a wide sprawling natural pool and a spot to jump off of. Further along the trail lie two more waterfalls both complete with awesome views and pools to swim in. The entire hike is full of breathtaking views and is a must see for anybody visiting.

Waitavala Natural Waterslide

Out in Waiyevo, the Waitavala Waterslide is a natural rock slide formed by a smooth, rushing stream in the rainforest. Locals and visitors alike enjoy sliding down the slick rocks into the refreshing pool below, making it a fun and adventurous spot to experience Taveuni’s natural beauty.

Nabagiono/Bobby's Farm

Nabogiono Farms, also known as Bobby's Farm, is an organic farm on Taveuni Island, Fiji, offering visitors an authentic experience of sustainable farming and island living. Guests can tour the farm, learn about traditional Fijian agriculture, see gorgeous native birds, sample fresh tropical fruits, and even participate in coconut husking and kava ceremonies. Vuna Blowhole

On the southern tip of Fiji lies The Vuna Blowhole. Here the ocean waves force water through coastal rock formations, creating impressive geyser-like sprays. This hidden gem offers a unique display of nature’s power, especially during high tide, making it a great spot for photography and sightseeing.

Worlds Rarest Flower

The Tagimoucia (tangy-mouth-ee-ya) flower, Medinilla Waterhousei, the rarest flower in the world, is one of the many wonders of Taveuni. It only grows in the cloud forest of the mountains of Taveuni, above 2000 ft elevation, and flowers from October to December, and no where else in the world! When the season is right, take an all day trek or 4wd Truck up the mountain to try your hand at spotting this once in a lifetime sight. The flowers hang on vines from the tops of trees and point straight down, like the tears of a weeping princess. Ask your guide to tell you the legend of the Tagimoucia flower!

Jungle Loop

Take the Green Fiji Plantation scenic 1.5 mile loop from the Villa up the steep meandering grass covered track, through the top 127 acres of jungle to get a peek at what the forest might have looked like 1000 years ago, and experience the peace of nature. You're bound to hear the "woot woot" of the barking pigeons, and if you go at early morning or late afternoon, you'll hear the squawks of the Taveuni Crimson Shining Parrots that love to fly up or down the mountain to catch the perfect temperature. Treat yourself to some of the most amazing views on Taveuni. You'll likely encounter farm animals, beautiful hardwood trees, and lots of rainforest. The trail is also good on our white pony, Moonlight. He does it every day to make sure his goat friends are home for bedtime.
